Debate: Simon Sinek - Motivational Speaker
Students will be taking part in a debate after Christmas. In pairs you will either agree or disagree with the main points made by Simon Sinek, a motivational Speaker. The topic for the debate is his take on millennials in the workplace.
We will first watch a video of the interview and have a class discussion on his main points. You will be provided with a transcript of the interview with Simon Sinek about his take on millennials in the workplace (recorded in Dec of 2016). Sinek states that millennials as a group of people, which are those born from approximately 1984 and after, are tough to manage. They are accused of being entitled and narcissistic, self-interested, unfocused and lazy - but entitled is the big one.

His take on millennials in the workplace can be broken down into four parts:
You will either agree or disagree with the main points he makes on the effects of parenting, technology, impatience and environment on millennials in the workplace. After we have a whole class discussion on these four parts you are to read the manuscript and prepare to agree or disagree with them.
You are required to come up with a few arguments of you own for each part and include your own opinions.
