Vi arbetar med turistmål utifrån historiska och kulturella upplevelser i engelsktalande länder.
Pick a tourist attraction or a destination from an English speaking country - could for example be England, Scotland, USA, New Zealand, Australia or India. Examples of what you could choose are:
Edinburgh Old Town
London
New York City (Empire State Building?)
New Delhi
You are now working for a newly started travel agent - your own company! Now you’re supposed to present and sell a trip to your classmates by making a commercial or ad for it. It could be a video commercial or an ad in text form (for example whole page in a magazine).
Since your classmates are especially interested in history and culture of English speaking countries, it needs to focus on this.
Think about: Why should we go on your trip?
You could include:
A slogan - Have it your way/I’m lovin’ it/Just Do It
Some information in text form
Music (if video)
Speech (if video)
Images
Information on how the trip is tied to the country in terms of history or culture*
*Extra important question.
Deadline: Thursday week 10.
Part II
In this part we will reflect individually on one of the commercials or ads the class has presented (does not have to be your own group’s but if you have done the work - why not use it).
You write a reflection (a text) where you answer the following questions:
What about the tourist attraction/trip makes it specifically tied to history or culture of that country?
Compare to other similar places from other countries and tell us why they are/they are not similar
Use the internet to find the answers together with what you learned in Part I. Write ½ - 1 page about your destination, Times New Roman 12. Do not forget: introduction, conclusion, paragraphs.
