Travel and compare!

Take a trip to one of your favourite countries. Let your fantasy play. Money is not a problem but think of the environment all the same.

Introduction:

Your assignment is to pretend that you are going to an English speaking country. Imagine you won the lottery yesterday so it does not matter how far away the country is! You and your friend decide to take a weekend trip, Thursday morning until Sunday night. Your flight lands in the country at 10.00 on Thursday and leaves your country at 18.00 on Sunday.

 Your family is eager to hear how things have been and wants to know everything about your trip so after your trip you tell them how things were and you write a description of what you did during your tour. They do not know how things work and what you can do in the country where you are going.

 

What to include:

  • How do you get there? Airplane, train, bus, car, etc. What do the tickets cost?
  • Where you stay (which hotel, where in the city, a description of it)
  • What activities you do during the weekend (restaurants, musicals, museums, buildings, tourist attractions, cafés etc.)
  • Some pictures of the buildings, restaurants etc. where you go, which you show them (include minimum two pictures)
  • What you think about what you see and the places you visit
  • How things (in your place) differ from how things are and work in Sweden. This is a very important part! Se längst ner : kopplingar till läroplanen.

 

How you can find facts: Search the Internet and include the facts you find.

 

How you will present:

You will present everything in writing in Word. Deadline is Wednesday 15 May. You will also read your presentation to class. Some of you might want to do this in speaking. I would suggest that you then have a Power-Point presentation. You have to have the same information if you speak as when you do it in writing.
