By reading historical novels we can enter a world that is both different and similar to our own. Learning about our past puts new perspectives on our current world. This means that you can gain a lot of knowledge by enjoying a good book. We also need entertainment to relax and escape from our day-to-day lives and reading has been proved to be one of the most effective ways of fighting stress.
