We will be working with preparing for the English 6 national test. The purpose is for each student to familiarize themselves with the types of tests that can occur during the final exam. The examples used are primarily those available at nafs.gu.se but some examples of previous tests that have been released for use may also be used.

National Test Preparation - Speaking pt.1

You will be assigned a number between 1 and 6. The number assigned corresponds to a specific card in the attached StressCards.pdf document.

Your task is to familiarize yourself with the type of speaking exam that may show up on the national test and to try it out for yourselves.

In pairs, practice pt.1 of the exam - "Inform and Discuss". The complete instructions are in the Stress.pdf document. Record while you are speaking! Don't practice pt.2 of the exam.

Choose a new number between 1 and 6. You are not allowed to choose the same number that was assigned to you last class.

The new number corresponds to a card in the attached StressCards.pdf document.

Your task is to improve on your performance since the last practice session.

In pairs, practice both pt.1 and pt. 2 of the exam example. The complete instructions are in the Stress.pdf document. Record while you are speaking! You have a time limit of 15 minutes in total - make sure that both you and your partner gets to finish within the alloted time. Record your conversation!
