Good Stuff Gold C "Everyday Stuff" - "Sketches"

It’s time to get creative! Let’s make some sketches!

Content:

During 5 lessons we will work with two texts in the textbook, Making Plans and The Wardrobe, and make sketches that take place after the texts have ended. The work will end with you performing your sketches in front of the class, or if you are not comfortable with that, you can perform it for the teacher alone. 

 

How we will work:

 Friday 15/11: Work with the two texts and accompanying tasks. If you finish early with the task, start coming up with ideas for the sketch.

 

Friday 22/11: Start working on ideas for the sketch if you have not already done that. If or when you have an idea you can start writing on a script for it.

 

Monday 25/11: Continue working on your scripts. If you finish with the script, you can start rehearsing your sketch.

 

Friday 29/11: Time to perform the sketches! We will try and get through as many as possible but realistically we will probably have time for around 5 groups.

 

Monday 2/12: Continue performing sketches, hopefully we will get through all the groups by the end of this lesson.

 

How you will show you have learned:

You will be examined on your sketch and the script you have written for it. What I will look at is things such as what language you use, how well you write and speak English as well as on how your text ties into the story you have read.
