Travel Guide - the USA

Let's make a plan and travel to the USA!
We have studied the USA for a couple of months. Now it is your turn to make your own travel guide and present it to the class.

Goal

To research, create and give an oral presentation about a trip in the United States of America. The trip will go to either five different states in the US or to one state only which you focus more on. You pick where you want to go and what you want to do there.

Instructions

Research: First you need to decide where you want to go. Pick cities and/or tourist attraction you wish to visit. Perhaps you know a place you would like to visit because you’ve heard about it or seen it in a movie, etc. Find out where that place is and learn more about it. Find pictures and information about the states or destinations and save that on your Google Drive in a document. Go to different sites, watch videos, ask your classmates. Remember to save your sources!

 

Note! You can only pick three of the following states for your trip: California, Florida, Texas, New York, Hawaii. This is because these states are very popular destinations.

Creation: Make a travel guide using the information and pictures that you found in your research. Each guide should contain 4-5 pages, which we will post in the classroom.

Presentation: Your oral presentation should be about 5-7 minutes. It should be some kind of interaction, conversation or dialogue where you talk to each other in groups or pairs. You can present it live or record it.

Decide what you want to say during your presentation and rehearse. Make sure you are well prepared.
