Opening a restaurant

Ni ska få möjligheten att öppna er egna restaurang, inga teman är för galna eller overkliga. Låt fantasin ta över och framför din drömrestaurang!
1. Arbetsområde
Vi lär oss om mat och hur man kommunicerar muntligt på engelska i presentationssyfte såväl som restaurangbesök
2. Arbetssätt - Undervisning
Vi kommer att arbetar med lärargenomgång, EPA-arbetsstil för att lära oss nya ord, rollspel och grupparbete (Slumpmässigt lottade)
3. Bedömning
Läraren kommer att bedöma elevens förberedelse, samt genomförandet av enskilt arbete och grupparbete

Vi kommer avsätta 4 lektionstillfällen för att göra presentationen och ett femte för redovisning
Step one

Time to get to business |

You and your friends are going to open a brand new restaurant. For this exercise I want you to use your imagination, create the most eloquent(elegant) or the wackiest(galnaste) of restaurant and don’t forget to name the restaurant. |
|
Whatever theme you decide upon, remember to make the menus reflect upon that theme. |
|
A good tip is to know what your menu items contain since some of the customers, who will be arriving on Thursday week 7, may have certain preferences and allergies. |
Step two

The Restaurant |

Student A: is the owner and decides what the restaurant should look like and the theme. |
|
Student B: is responsible for the “Breakfast menu” |
|
Student C: is responsible for the “Lunch menu” |
|
Student D: is responsible for the “Dinner menu” |
Step three
|
Presentation |
|
Student A: in collaboration with the other members of the group is to make a presentation showing how they want their restaurant’s look. For each part of the presentation there has to be photos that illustrates the things you are presenting. |
|
Student B: is responsible for a presentation on the “Breakfast menu” |
|
Student C: is responsible for a presentation on the “Lunch menu” |
|
Student D: is responsible for a presentation on the “Dinner menu” |
|
By the end of the day each student should be done with their respective parts. Remember to be thorough and know what you created. |
Step four

If you still have time left start working on how you would present yourself to the customers who will arrive in two-three days. |

Student A – To be able to in a few sentences tell about your philosophy and theme for the customers |

Student B – To be able to present the breakfast menu and be able to answer questions regarding allergies |

Student C – To be able to present the Lunch menu and be able to answer questions regarding allergies |
|
Student D – To be able to present the Dinner menu and be able to answer questions regarding allergies |
