In this unit, students will test their knowledge of the ancient, modern and natural wonders of the world!

Ancient wonders

• define a wonder of the world and that there are different categories.
• locate the ancient wonders on a world map
• choose one ancient wonder and read briefly about it 
• present what they have found out to the rest of the class

Modern wonders

• test pre-knowledge about the modern wonders with a fun quiz
• discuss these wonders and where they are - locate on a world map
• check answers to the quiz
• choose one wonder and read about it in order to write a fact sheet 

Natural wonders

• locate the current natural wonders on a world map
• find out about these wonders
• write an explanation of why they are a wonder and how they formed.

Choose one wonder they are interested in and produce a travel brochure encouraging people to go there.

Find out if there are any sites in their home country which could be considered as a wonder and prepare a short presentation to give to the group.
