Plan and assignments. Reading;  I. What is a fairy tale – VI. Cathegorizing tales (p. 2-5)

                          Read + TL the text. Use the vocabulary list! The words in bold are on the list.

 

Friday:             Writing assignment: My Fairy Tale Character

                          Read Maleficent text                                         

Look at feedback from last essay (My Favourite Star)

 

Homework for Tuesday week 7: Decide which fairy tale character you want to write about + bring facts and reasons for your choice to class.

 

WEEK 7                                                                                                                                         

Tuesday (swe):  Prepare mind map for Wednesday. Include facts and reasons

 

Wednesday:    Essay writing – My Fairy Tale Character  (9:45 – 11:45)

Friday:             Swedish

Homework for W-day w 8: Watch one (or more) episode of the HC Andersen fairytales on YouTube                    

 

WEEK 8                                                                                                                                          

Wednesday:    Work with text: Aesop’s fables.   

Friday:             Read “The Emperor’s New Clothes”. Mark difficult words + make a vocabulary list.

Homework for Wednesday week 10: Finish the vocabulary list and choose 20 words to learn.

 

WEEK 10     

Listen to / read / watch the following fairy tales on www.thefablecottage.com:

Wednesday:                              -      Cinderella   (12 min audio + text)

-        Jack and the Beanstalk (13 min audio + text)

                          Take notes while listening. Work in pairs and re-tell one of the texts to a classmate.

 

Friday:                                        The Tinder-box  (YouTube:  HCA – The Fairytaler)

Watch episode and discuss in groups.
