A Travel Show- Wings 8

Use the travel guide on pp. 134-139 as a model for your own travel show. Describe a place where you have been or a place you would like to visit. Present the show in front in front of an audience or record it.

1. Start your show by describing your destination (the climate, wildlife, population, languages spoken etc.)

2. Mention at least two things to see and two activities to do while visiting your location. Explain why these sights/activities should not be missed! (Show pictures if possible)

3. End your show by expressing your own opinion about this place - why would you recommend a visit?

1. Du ska välja en plats som du har besökt eller drömmer om att besöka.
2. I uppgiften på s. 151 i Wings 8 finns instruktioner om vad som ska tas upp.
3. Du ska hålla en muntlig presentation och kan använda dig av de strategier för presentationer som finns i uppgift 40 på s. 57.
4. Texten US Travel Guide på s. 134–139 kan användas som inspiration.

Instructions

Research: Decide on a place where you have been or would like to visit. Find out where that place is and learn more about it. Find pictures and information about the destination and save that in a document. Go to different websites, watch videos, ask your classmates. Remember to save your sources (URLs)! 

 

Creation: Make a Google or a powerpoint presentation using the information and pictures that you found in your research. Decide what you want to say during your presentation and rehearse. If you want ideas for what to include in your presentation, take a look at the the travel guide on pp. 134-139 . Make sure you are well prepared. If you want “speaking cards”, you will get that. Share the presentation with your teacher when you are finished. 

Presentation: The presentation should take at most three minutes. We will put your presentation up on the big screen with the teacher’s computer.

Oral Presentation (A Travel Show) 

You are going to design a travel show and present the show in front of an audience or record it. Use the travel guide on p. 134-139 in your textbook as a model for your own travel show.  

Follow the steps below to design your show. 

1. Choose a place where you have been or a place that you would like to visit. 
2. Collect information about your destination (the climate, wildlife, population, languages spoken etc.) Take notes while you are collecting information. 
3.  Make a Google or a PowerPoint presentation using the information and pictures that you found in your research 
4. Start your show by describing your destination by using the information you have collected. 
5. Mention at least two things to see and two activities to do while visiting your location. Explain why these sights / activities should not be missed. Show pictures as well. 
6. End your show by expressing your own opinion about this place- why would you recommend it?
