Innehåll

Have you ever been scared? What are you afraid of? Some people say that they have met or seen creatures such as ghosts, aliens, monsters, zombies and demons etc. Some say that you can run but you can’t hide from these creepy creatures while others claim that they are watching you even now. Scary, isn’t it?

You will choose one topic from the list and present your topic/choice for your group (3-5 students). Your presentation must be a speech (oral presentation with key words) as well as a paper that you hand in before the presentation.

Don’t forget where you found your information, or I’ll be... YOU!!!  (your sources are a must).

The topics/subjects

1.     Superstitions: Black cat, ladder, numbers etc. Why do some people believe in this? Every culture believes in these phenomena why?

2.     Ghouls/ghosts/zombies/monsters/aliens etc. Do they exist ? What do you know about them? What’s the story behind this?

3.     The Bermuda triangle. What is it? There are many theories like…

4.     Area 51. What is this? What kind of secrets are there hidden in this place?

5.     Near-Death Experiences” Out of body experience” and Life After Death? There are many stories. Maybe you can tell us some.

6.     Life in another planet? Aliens/ET is it possible? 

7.     Do you believe in Miracles? Find out if there are some to tell about.

8.     Psychic powers? Does it exist? Explain what kind of powers you found?

9.     Michele Nostradamus’ predictions? Tell us about some of them, did they come true?

Before the presentation

1. Practice a lot for a friend or someone and take every good advice

you get.

2. Use your own words and practise your pronunciation. Practise extra with the

difficult words. Don’t read from your presentation!!!

3. Write keywords on your PP or put  the text on small cards for your presentation.

The presentation

The oral/verbal/speech should include the following:

A beginning: “I have chosen to talk about….because….”

Show the vocabulary that you learned by putting a wordlist.(15-30 words). Tell your group/class what them mean…

2. The different items presented in the assignments above. Make it as a list

3. An ending where you conclude/finish what you have talked about. Your presentation could also end with some questions or a quiz to the audience what you have talked about.

4. Have good eye contact with your audience. Ask them something about your topic to see if they were listening to you!!!

Tala: Oral/Verbal presentation

Lyssna: You listen to what your classmates and maybe they can ask you some stuff so you should listen.

Läsa: You read a lot of “literature” and that’s good!!!

Skriva: It’s easier to start in a word document and then later you can copy keywords from you document to you Power Point. But don’t forget to hand in/give me your document when you are done with the presentation. Finally you hand in a paper on your topic!!! And don’t forget your sources!!!
