A letter about summer

When writing a letter, remember to

• Start your letter in a nice way (don't forget my name!)
• End your letter in a nice way (don't forget your name!)
• Put the date and place in the top-right corner (Lerum, August 15:th)
• Tell me as much as you can about what you did this summer (it doesn't have to be true)
• Ask me questions as well

Please, only look up separate words - not entire sentences!! Remember, I want to know what you can write about in English, not Google :)

A Day in...

In pairs, you will create either a podcast or a vlog presenting a day (or a few days) in the life of a teenager in an English speaking country.

NB! This is a continuation on the vlogs/podcasts you did last year. Use what you learnt then!

CRITERIA

• Your recording should be 5-10 minutes long
• This is a conversation between an English speaking person and a Swedish person, where you compare the two cultures with each other.
• When working on the language, pay special attention to

Grammar

• Make sure you stick to the format you choose!

- If you’re doing a vlog, try to be enthusiastic and inviting; really interact with your audience.

- If you’re doing a podcast, remember to describe everything we don’t see; use a lot of adjectives.

• Contents is important; do your research well and be detailed in your descriptions.
• Don’t forget the comparison!

- In the vlog, you exchange experiences while the “native” is showing the Swedish person around.

- The podcast is a discussion between a “native” and a Swede where you compare the topics you present.

Last but not least, make sure I always know who’s talking, so if we can’t see the person there should be some sort of indicator (maybe always say the other person’s name when asking a question?). And don’t forget to check the quality of the sound so we can hear you!
