A Place I've Visited

You're writing a descriptive text about a place you've visited. It doesn't have to be true and you can even make a place up if you want to, but remember to be very detailed in your descriptions!

When reading your text, I should feel like I'm right there with you :)

Hand it in here by Friday, w. 37, at 16:00 - but don't forget to have it in your English folder on Drive as well!!

Writing task: robots

This is where you hand in your writing task about robots (ex. E, p. 32) - but don't forget to have it in your English folder on Drive aswell!

Writing task: bands

This is where you hand in your text on bands (ex. C, p. 37) - but don't forget to have it in your English folder on Drive aswell!

A Day in...

In pairs, you will create either a podcast or a vlog presenting a day (or a few days) in the life of a teenager in an English speaking country.

NB! This is a continuation on the vlogs/podcasts you did last year. Use what you learnt then!

SHOW TIME!

CRITERIA

• Your recording should be 5-10 minutes long
• This is a conversation between an English speaking person and a Swedish person, where you compare the two cultures with each other.
• When working on the language, pay special attention to

- Vocabulary

- Pronunciation

- Grammar

• Make sure you stick to the format you choose!

- If you’re doing a vlog, try to be enthusiastic and inviting; really interact with your audience.

- If you’re doing a podcast, remember to describe everything we don’t see; use a lot of adjectives.

• Contents is important; do your research well and be detailed in your descriptions.
• Don’t forget the comparison!

- In the vlog, you exchange experiences while the “native” is showing the Swedish person around.

- The podcast is a discussion between a “native” and a Swede where you compare the topics you present.

Last but not least, make sure I always know who’s talking, so if we can’t see the person there should be some sort of indicator (maybe always say the other person’s name when asking a question?). And don’t forget to check the quality of the sound so we can hear you!
