Sixteen-year-old Starr Carter moves between two worlds: her predominantly white, suburban private school and her poorer, mostly black neighborhood. The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood friend, Kahlil, at the hands of a police officer. Everyone wants to know what really went down that night, and the only person who can speak up is Starr. But what she says — or does not say — could destroy her community and even endanger her life.

Under c.a sex veckor kommer vi att arbeta med boken The Hate U Give.  Varje vecka kommer vi att diskutera, skriva och citera boken utifrån de givna sidorna ( se tidsplan nedan). Du kommer att i slutet av perioden skriva en kortare uppsats/reflektion över boken. Det är viktigt att du är aktiv under lektionerna, bidrar till arbetsro samt gör de uppgifter du får i tid.
