Do you like music? How often do you listen to music? What does music mean to you? These questions we are going to discuss in our first theme: Music. We are going to listen and read different kind of texts and of course listen to music. Working with grammar is also included in this course. Furthermore, in the end you will have the opportunity to summarize your thoughts about music in an essay.

W 35-39

Purpose:
You will get the opportunities to develop your ability to:
* understand and interpret the content of spoken English and in different types of texts,
* express yourself and communicate in speech and writing,
* use language strategies to understand and make yourselves understood,
* adapt language for different purposes, recipients and contexts

Goals:

• To learn new words to the theme music
• To understand different genre of texts
• To be sure how to use the verbs: be, have and verbs in present tense
• To write an essay on the theme music using new words and show knowledge of how using the grammar we been working with.

Core content/method:

• Working with different genre of texts to read or listen to
• Working with words to our theme Music
• Working with grammar: presens av verbet be, have, verb i enkel presens
• Writing a text and working your text over

The exercises will be of different kind such as written, oral, individually or together with others.

Once a week we sum up the work of the week by a test.

• Wings 7 chapter 1

Examination:

1.Written test: reading and listening comprehension, writing: 1,2,3,5,6

2. Written production, your text worked over: 5,6,7
