Health and hygiene

We will work with understanding the importance of hygiene and taking care of our bodies. Instead of just doing "Hygiene week", we want to make it a broader theme which can grow in any direction the children show interest in.
What?
A theme which aims to teach children about health and hygiene and how they can apply it to their everyday life.
The holistic theme will cover areas such as food, nutrition, excercise, sports, meditation, body integrity and awareness.
How?
1. What does the children already know about this? Ask what hygiene is and go from there. Document.
2. Visual presentation - video clip on projector about germs, bacterias, etc.
3. Egg microscope (digitalization) - watch "germs".
4. Black pepper in bowl of water, put finger with soap in it.
Why?
So that the kids can understand the importance of taking care of themselves and have a clean environment.
