Outings

To explore new areas is a great way for children to learn about the world around them. We will take walks and go on trips to let the children explore and learn about or city and nature.

Purpose/Reason behind the topic
- what do we want to achieve when working on this topic?

we want the children to explore the world around them. This is a great way to learn new things about then environment, the nature and the area around us we see every day.

- what are the children interested in?

the children are interested in many things when we visit our nearby areas. They love looking for animals, sticks, pine cones and fantasy creatures.

they are a combination of what the children are interested in when it comes to exploring the world around them and our targets when it comes to what we want the children to learn more about.

Activities

- How are we going to reach the goals? 

by going to different areas in our neighbourhood, visit new places, explore the places we go to. Let the children wish be the number one priority and for us to follow them and their initiative. 

- What activities are we planning to reach our goals?

weekly outings to areas around us. Sometimes with a specific goal as a target and sometimes just to be exploring freely.

- How can we involve the children in their own documentation?

the children will be involved by being asked what they want to learn more about when we go on outings. They will also help to document and collect treasures that we can bring back to school and learn more about.
