A News Report
Your voicemail message and/or your message in a bottle finally reached a person who could send help. The rumour about all the things that has happened to you and your friend/friends begins to spread immediately and in no time journalists start to invade the island where you are. They want to find out more about your story and write it down so you give a lot of interviews.
The next day you get a special delivery from The Guardian, a British newspaper. And there, on the front page, is your story!
Assignment (writing)
Write down the news report (about 200-400 words) as if you were the journalist. Remember, that in a news report there are questions that must be answered:
What happened?
When did it happen?
Where did it happen?
Who were involved?
Why did it happen?
How did it happen?
The most important information should come first. Also add a picture for your report and a good headline, of course!
