The Bully Project

Every year millions of children around the world are exposed to bullying at their school. In this project you will watch a documentary, have a debate and write an essay on a topic involving bullying.

Syfte

I det här arbetet ska du utveckla din förmåga att:

* formulera dig och kommunicera på engelska i tal och skrift

* reflektera över livsvillkor och samhällsfrågor i olika delar av världen där engelska används. 

Betygskriterier

E: du deltar i gruppdiskussion samt följer till stor del instruktionerna till skriftlig uppgift. Du uttrycker dig enkelt, begripligt och relativt sammanhängande. Du anpassar i någon mån din kommunikation efter syfte, mottagare och situation

C: du deltar relativt engagerat i gruppdiskussion och för till viss del diskussionen framåt, samt följer instruktionerna till skriftlig uppgift. Du uttrycker dig relativt varierat, tydligt och sammanhängande. Du anpassar till viss del din kommunikation efter syfte, mottagare och situation

A: du deltar engagerat i gruppdiskussion och för diskussionen framåt på ett väl fungerande sätt, samt följer instruktionerna till skriftlig uppgift. Du uttrycker dig varierat, tydligt och sammanhängande. Du formulerar dig med flyt och anpassar din kommunikation efter syfte, mottagare och situation.

The Bully project

After watching the movie ”Bully” there will be a group discussion in class. To prepare for this, you should consider the questions below. You are allowed to bring a paper with notes of your thoughts to the discussion

Questions for group discussion:

*What springs to mind when you hear the word ”bullying”?

*What different types of bullying are there? Give examples.

*Why do you think people bully each other?

*Do you think bullying should be considered a crime or is it just part of growing up? Explain your thoughts!

*Is cyber-bullying worse than face-to-face bullying? Explain.

*What kind of person is a bully?

*What damage does bullying do to people?

*Is it always a good idea to stand up to a bully? Why/why not?

OBS! Try to use examples from the movie when you reflect on these questions

 - What can you do if you are being bullied on the internet?

Short story about bullying

  Write a short story where bullying is the main issue!

Write 1 - 2  A4 pages, Times New Roman size 12.
