Future in focus

During this period we will both look back at 2020 as well as forward into the new year and things that are even further away.

Syfte - förmågor från kursplanen:

  Syfte reflektera över livsvillkor, samhällsfrågor och kulturella företeelser i olika sammanhang och delar av världen där engelska används.

Konkretisering av målen – detta visar du genom att:

Du visar att du kan  förstå och tolka innehållet i talad engelska och i olika texter genom att diskutera, svara på läsfrågor samt genom att skriva kring valfri bok.

Du visar att du kan formulera dig och kommunicera i skrift med bra ordval, flyt, meningsbyggnad samt struktur när du skriver olika texter på temat.

Du visar att du kan reflektera över livsvillkor, samhällsfrågor och kulturella företeelser. Detta gör du dels i de diskussioner och uppgifter vi har i klassen och i grupper, men även i ett avslutande skriftligt prov.

Bedömning – dessa förmågor kommer att bedömas:

Din förmåga att förstå och kommentera det du läser (läslogg)

Din förmåga att uttrycka dig skriftligt med struktur, flyt och ordval samt med anpassning till textens syfte: 

Time Travel

You get into a time machine and are sent to the year 2118 – one hundred years from now! You land in the place that is now Sweden. You get the chance to look around, talk to people and learn about how they live and what has happened since 2021.

 

You decide to write a letter to your friends at home who are living in 2018 to tell them about about what life is like in the year 2118. Write about what you REALLY think the world might be like 100 years from now.

 

 

 

Here are some things you can write about. Include all three points in your letter.

1. Use these questions to help you think about what it's like in 2118 - don't just answer them one after the other!
What does the place where you live look like in 2118? How do people live? What do houses look like? What kind of food do people eat? What is school like? Do children go to school? What do children do in their free time? Are there still cars, bikes, buses, trains or other ways to travel?  Do people still watch TV and go to the cinema? How do they communicate with each other? Do they still use phones and computers?

2. What major changes have happened in society since 2021? (political/social/environmental/economic)

3. Give your friends some advice about how to make the world a better place in the future!

• Skriva och samtala om bokens innehåll.
• Prata och läsa om olika kulturella företeelser i omvärlden
• Prata och läsa om  dåtida och nutida förhållanden
