Issues in the English-speaking World

During the next few weeks, we're going to be working with issues and problems in the English-speaking world.
The pupils in grades 4 and 5 have received/will receive a two-part assignment.
1) They are to write an essay about an issue or a problem in an English-speaking country. The word limit is 150-500 words for grade 4 and 300-800 words for grade 5.
2) After completing the essay, the pupils are to prepare a presentation about the same issue/problem which includes at least one picture and is 1-5 minutes long.
