During this area you will write your own speech and present it infront of your classmates.

When writing a speech you want to catch the attention of the audience. 

It is time for you to give your first speech. When giving a speech, it is important that you speak clearly and that you are prepared and structured. Your speech is going to be an acceptance speech of an award, which means that you are going to thank people for an award you have been given. You are going to talk about what you have done to earn this award and thank people who have been supportive.

The speech is going to be approximately 2 minutes.

 

How to:

1.      Decide which award you are accepting

2.      Make a mindmap

3.      Structure your speech into three parts:

•   Introduction

 

•        Main part

 

•       Finish

 

W   What are you going to say in which part?

4.      Write your script.

This is where you hand in the script to your speech. You do not have to write down everything you are going to say, but there should be information about what you want to include in the speech.
